The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has urged officers and men of the Force to step up strategies to reduce the impact of insurgency activities in the country.
He stated this in Abuja while decorating thirty three newly promoted Air Officers of the Forces.
Air Marshal Abubakar emphasized that most of those promoted had earned it and had been in the forefront in the fight against insurgency and urged them to improve on their strategy.
Air Marshal Abubakar urged those that missed the promotion to be patient and continue to be hard working as the exercise was a continuous one.
Air Vice Marshal Napoleon Bali who spoke on behalf of the promoted officers acknowledged the sacrifice of the personnel of the force and pledged to uphold the tenets of the Service to the benefit of the nation.
Defence Correspondent reports that fourteen Air Commodores were promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal while nineteen Group Captain were elevated to Air Commodores.
